About Publications CV

I am now a postdoctoral research assistant at the University of Geneva, working with Prof. Slava Voloshynovskiy on machine learning applications to radio astronomy and beyond. Before, I was working with Prof. Lucas Lombriser to constrain modified gravity models in cosmology using machine learning.

Even before that, I was a Research Fellow at University College London, working with Prof. Hiranya Peiris and Prof. Andrew Pontzen on explainable artificial intelligence techniques applied to cosmology.

I did my PhD in the Centre for Doctoral Training in Data Intensive Science at University College London, funded by STFC (STFC UCL CDT in DIS, if you like acronyms). I worked under the supervision of Prof. Benjamin Joachimi and Prof. John Shawe-Taylor, at the intersection between cosmology and machine learning.

My research involves developing and applying machine learning algorithms to interesting problems involving our Universe. In a typical day, I employ advanced statistical techniques to analyse big data, I code in python and I try to convince people that pineapple pizza should not be a thing - yes, I'm Italian.
